Spectrum Gymnastics Academy is a competitive club

We pride ourselves in producing gymnasts of all levels & abilities from Next Steps (4yrs+) right the way through our General 1,2,3 Levels & Regional/National Squads (aged 7yrs+) that can have the opportunity to enter a competition if they wish.

Our Next Steps/General Gym lesson plans are based around different competition criteria as well as the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards. See below for previous/up coming competitions.

Each child is continually assessed in class and will work torwards a suitable competition level for their ability and training hours as some levels have limits on the amount of hours a gymnast can train. 

Our Rainbow Ribbons Club Championships is an annual event where every SGA Gymnast from Pre School right up to Squad Levels can compete in a real life friendly competition infront of an audience (Family & friends are welcome) and a Judge just like on the TV!

Children will learn a set routine on Floor and a Vault to perform on their own. Please do not worry, a coach will always be on hand to support at the side should anyone forget!

Our levels are set by our coaches and based on ability. Progression is forwards and cannot be repeated. Everyone gets a Ribbon & Certificate for taking part (a whole RAINBOW of colours to collect!) and there will be podium medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in each age catagory. 

There will also be Club Uniform stalls, cakes and refreshments and squad displays between rounds! Once all entries are in, we will publish round timimgs by email. Please enter by the deadline each year so that we can finalise round timimgs and send out in plenty of time. 

All money raised goes towards new equipment for the club

IMPORTANT: All gymnasts MUST be Bronze Level BG Insured to compete, see BG website. Gymnasts are required to wear club kit to competitions, girls club leggings/shorts allowed for 10yrs+
